Acting Inspector General (IG) Gilbert Masengeli is fighting back against a recent court ruling that sentenced him to six months behind bars.
Masengeli argues that the sentence handed down by High Court Judge Lawrence Mugambi is unjust and claims he was not given a fair hearing.
The appeal follows Mugambi’s decision, which came after Masengeli failed to comply with several court orders related to the mysterious disappearance of three individuals.
The acting IG now contends that the court’s verdict was issued without proper consideration of his side of the story.
Masengeli is calling for a review of the case insisting that the legal process was flawed and that the ruling should be overturned.
