Legal Clinics

Setting up of Desks to offer direct engagement sessions with families and relatives of people who are still missing, injured or dead.

Provision of legal services and offering Psychosocial support to these families to help alleviate the horrors meted on them and their kins in the cause of the protests.

The Plan

Sessions shall begin at 9:30am on the day of the Event.

For each On Ground Activation, there will be five points with complete desks to address the following:

1. Missing Persons

• How do we categorically tell the number of persons who are still to be accounted for? Who are they and where are they from?
• With help from KNCR, set up a desk with a team that will be taking records of all such reports on location.
• Details and photos of persons reported missing, relatives/ contact persons

1. Dead Persons

• Details of those already confirmed dead
• Their current status: Have they been buried or not
• What help do their families/loved ones need
• Injured Persons
• Details of those injured during the demos (Where, when and what’s their status)
• Are they hospitalized or not

1. Abducted/Under Arrest
2. Psychosocial Support

All information and data gathered will be consolidated, redacted, analyzed and synthesized into key actionable insights that can be used to develop a clear game plan and commitment to help calm the country before things get out of hand. Speed is of essence in getting this platform up and running quickly. LSK will do the leg work across the country.
